What it is: Peripheral and Games
Release date: 14th September 2010
Playstation Move is PS3's brand new motion controller and before you say it, no it's not copying the Wii... Completely. It's main feature is the 'One to One tracking' which lets your actions be perfectly mimicked on screen. The trick here is, instead of using a sensor like the Wii, it uses the EyeToy Camera attachment for the PS3, this allows for much more accurate motion, that makes it better than the Wii. There are also plenty of games using the tech.

Sorcery is one of PS Move's brand
new titles. |
So far Sorcery is my favourite as it seems to use the Move controller a lot! Flick the wand in different ways for different spells, you can also select weather the spell is fire, ice, wind and other crazy things. You can also use potions by shaking the controller then holding it to your mouth (like a drink), these can do even more interesting things like turn you into an animal! Other games include The Fight, a realistic beatemup that requires to controllers, you fight in a black and white world against others and so far it looks good, however it hasn't shown much so if you plan on getting that I suggest you look into it. Another is Sports Champions, a game full of odd little sports like fighting, archery and basketball. Move is even coming to games that don't actually
need it to be played, like Killzone 3 which seems to be pioneering every new thing PS3's got (3D), a long with Little Big Planet 2 (Preordering!). So it turns out Move isn't just going to be a Wii copycat, in fact it's already got a large list of supporting games so expect SONY's motion controller to be used by many of games in the near future.
